Advantages
The vibrating screen is a piece of mining equipment used for classifying materials such as ore, mineral sand, gravel, coal, and slurry; it consists of a screen mesh and a vibrator. Coarse screens typically have apertures smaller than 50 mesh, while fine screens are usually around 80 mesh. The vibrator utilizes an eccentric wheel driven by a motor to rotate, causing the screen frame to vibrate. Due to this vibration, coarser solid particles are retained on the screen surface as they flow across it and are discharged from one end along the inclined plane, while finer solid particles and slurry pass through the mesh into a slurry pit.

Types of Vibrating Screens
There is a wide variety of vibrating screens, ranging from mining-grade, light-duty/fine-screening, and laboratory models to specific configurations such as linear, arc, high-frequency, double-deck, and single-deck screens.
Vibrating screens are widely used in industries such as coal mining for material classification, ore washing, dewatering, and general screening. Thanks to their high production efficiency, excellent classification performance, and ease of maintenance, they are extensively employed in mining, coal, metallurgy, construction materials, refractories, light industry, and chemical processing.
Working Principle:
The vibrating screen uses an electric vibrator as its vibration source to propel material across the mesh—causing it to be tossed and move forward—thereby achieving the screening objective. Material from the feeder enters the machine’s inlet uniformly; it passes through multiple screen decks where various product grades and rejects are separated (retained on the screen or passed through) before being discharged from the outlets.
Vibrating screens can be integrated into automated production lines. During operation, the dynamic performance of the screen directly impacts screening efficiency and service life. Utilizing the vibration generated by a motor, the unit tosses material across the mesh, driving it forward in a straight line through multiple decks to separate the material and discharge the sorted products.
